One thing I love about the end of each year is all the “Best Of” lists that spring up. So you can imagine this year is even more fun for me because it is populated by “Best Of the Decade” lists as well.
For those near and dear to me, you know that I am a freak for Arcade Fire. This Christmas I was stoked to get one of the gifts I had been really hoping for, a copy of the recent reprinting of their debut album “Funeral” on vinyl.
This album has appeared on the Best Album Of The Decade lists of: Pitchfork (#2), The Guardian UK (#5), Rolling Stone (#6), NME (#7), Entertainment Weekly (#7). Luckily, for both me and one of you, the record I just received came with an access code for a free digital download of this award winning album. And I am willing to give it away for free to anyone that is interested. I know it’s not much, but free is free, and I am happy to give away the gift of this great album to anyone who wants it.
