By now loyal GG readers know that I am lethal with a camera phone. I got camera phone skills like Tiger has shaft control skills. I make that shit WORK! Whether it is getting sneaky-style shots of crack ho’s or candid portrayals of modern America hygiene, I always come through for you folks. What you don’t see is the unsexy, seedy side of my camera phone.
Obviously I take a lot of pics and not all of them make it to print. So today, to quote Mr. Marshall Mathers, I am cleaning out my closet. Here are some of the random pics I had sitting on deck for articles that were never written:
No your eyes do not deceive you that is both a box set of Liberace records that I own. And, Yes, that is indeed a 99 cent price tag on it. For less than a buck I was able to buy a flamboyant “confirmed bachelor’s” entire life work. Not bad…
If you follow me on Twitter you probably have seen this one before. I’m literally cleaning out my closet with this one. This is an actual piece of my wardrobe. And I wear it with pride. I bought this at The Staples Center after watching America’s greatest singer/song writer live from four rows away from the stage. Chest hair through rhinestone studded shirts never looked so good!
The wife and I recently moved the location of our wine “cellar”. This was a pic taken of part of our collection as we organized each bottle by varietal. For anyone that has over 20 or so bottles of wine I really recommend using cellartracker.com to keep track of what you have. We are only up to around 50 bottles but it still helps me know what I am running low on and to read peer reviews of different wine.

ok, i’m supremely disappointed that you wasted 99 perfectly good, fully spendable pennies on something bearing the name “Liberace”. the fact that it was actually an entire box set is even more disappointing.
your wine collection, however, is a thing of beauty! so beautiful that it brings a tear to my eye. or maybe that tear is because i only have one bottle in the fridge. or because i can’t seem to keep a bottle of wine for more than a night or two. or maybe it’s because it’s friday night and i DON’T have a glass of wine in my hand right now…
yup, that’s it! i’m off to the fridge!
Kelly,
The key is that we live in California so we belong to some local wine clubs. Plus went to Napa last year and we stocked while we were there. If you are ever going hit me up, we learned a few tricks while we were there.
we live about an hour from atlantic city and we have to stay that far away or the hub would gamble our house away. if i lived anywhere near napa i would have the same problem. i would refinance our house in order to pay for all the wine. it would be a very dangerous situation! we live about 45 minutes away from a place called cream ridge winery and it’s a miracle that i haven’t spent a small fortune there already.
