Today I’m doing a bit of an update piece just to catch you all up on the things that I recently have felt guilty about giving me pleasure. There’s a little bit of everything in here so sit back and enjoy the ride.
First up is this great track from Chromeo called “Night By Night”. It is such a great blend of late 70’s disco and early 80’s r&b/funk. I love what they have done here, it feels so 1982 that it could have been on the soundtrack to Ron Howard’s “The Night Shift” and would not have sounded out of place at all. One more reason to be jealous of the Montreal music scene.
In the realm of TV there is one show that Mrs. Rodius and I have recently become addicted to. Pawn Stars. I know it sounds kinda white trash, and you’d be right, but it also is ridiculously entertaining and informative. I fancy myself a history buff, so I love hearing the stories behind all the shit people bring into this Las Vegas pawn shop.
Lastly from the fashion world, I am totally digging this Newburgh, Biscuit and Sky colored striped tie. I’m telling y’all, I would rock this tie like Lady Gaga rocks shoulder pads.
